A Lyndora man is facing charges after he alleged provided the drugs that killed one person in the City of Butler.
On March 4, police were called to the 300 block of Walker Avenue for a reported drug overdose. Police say 38-year-old Jacquelyn Rotan died of drug poisoning.
Following an investigation, police say 40-year-old Matthew Tolley provided the drugs that killed Rotan.
During an interview with Tolley, he admitted to injecting the drugs into Rotan. A search of Tolley’s phone also showed text messages of him acquiring drugs.
Police used all of the evidence to charge Tolley with drug delivery resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility, and manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
Tolley is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
