An Ellwood City man has been charged after he collided with another driver and drove off.
On July 28th, police were called to Glen Eden Road and Sunset Circle for a vehicle accident. When police arrived on scene, the victim said that a truck had hit them as they were turning right on to Glen Eden. The truck then fled the scene.
The driver of the truck would later be identified as 53-year-old Daniel Mazzant. According to charging documents, Mazzant believed because he was not at fault he could leave the scene.
He was charged with accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
