After breaking into a camper in Jackson Township late last week a West Virginia man is in the Butler County Prison.
Friday morning, police were called to the 100 block of Perry Highway for a man who trespassed into a camper. When officers arrived on scene the man, 39-year-old Robert Tabor of Alum Creek, was with the park manager
As officers attempted to take Tabor into custody he allegedly attempted to resist arrest and “nonviolently blade” himself. When he was eventually apprehended, two bags of suspected cocaine were found on his body.
When officers spoke with the victims of the camper they said they did not know Tabor and was not invited into the camper.
Tabor was charged with criminal trespassing, manufacture, delivery, or possession, with intent to manufacture or deliver, drug possession, and public drunkenness.
Bail was set at $100,000 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 25.
