A Butler man is facing charges after police say he drove under the influence with a child in his vehicle.
Police pulled over 33-year-old Brandon Walsh Saturday just before 10:30 p.m. along Litman Road at the Greater Butler Mart.
According to charging documents, Walsh was pulled over for a side brake light that did not illuminate at a stop. Inside of the vehicle was also a child without a child seat.
When officers approached the vehicle, they accused Walsh of having slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, and say he failed a field sobriety test.
Walsh told police he had a shot 45 minutes earlier and may have had painkiller medication he took from the past week still in his system.
Walsh was charged with endangering the welfare of children, a DUI, and several traffic offenses.
A preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
