A man was seriously injured by a crossbow wound Monday afternoon in the City of Butler.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly after 5 p.m. for a man in his 30s in the 400 block of West Diamond Street also described as violent who shot himself in the neck.
When police and EMS crews arrived on scene, they requested that a medical transport helicopter be sent to Butler Memorial Hospital.
The man’s condition is not known at this time.
