Police are investigating a mass stabbing and officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in Lawrence County.
It happened around 8:45 p.m. Saturday night on West Main Street in Mahoning Township. State police say 34-year-old Christopher Rush allegedly stabbed three people—ages 15, 37, and 61. When police arrived, Rush was still armed with the unnamed cutting weapon. He proceeded to attack a 24-year-old police officer.
Following that incident, another local police officer fired his gun at Rush. Police say the shot killed Rush at the scene.
No further details were available on the status of the victims, including the officer.
