A second man involved in a shooting last year in the City of Butler has pled guilty and was sentenced yesterday.
In October of last year, officers were called to Father Marinaro Park for a conflict that began as a minor vehicle crash and led to gun shots.
According to charging documents, 43-year-old Michael Miranda and 19-year-old Joseph Miranda were seen on camera threatening the victims with a shotgun and knife. No injuries were reported from the incident.
Michael pled guilty to four counts of aggravated assault and was sentenced to 11 to 22 months in prison with 62 months of probation.
On Tuesday, Joseph Miranda pled guilty to three counts of simple assault and one count of recklessly endangering another person and was sentenced to 3 to 12 months of imprisonment and 24 months of probation.
Joseph will receive about one month of time severed and also had all felony charges dropped.
Along with prison time and probation Joseph will have to pay $9,424 in fines, fees, restitution, and cost of prosecution.
