An Allegheny County man is recovering following an accident that occurred last week in Butler Township.
According to Butler Township Police, 74-year-old Richard Blauser of Verona was driving west on Route 422 between the Mercer and Duffy Road overpasses last Friday just after 4 p.m.
Blauser allegedly did not see traffic in front of him had stopped for construction and he rear-ended a vehicle driven by an Ohio woman. Blauser was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Two occupants in the other vehicle also had minor injuries but did not need medical treatment.
Both vehicles had to be towed and traffic had to be shut down for a time. Police have charged Blauser with driving at an unsafe speed.
