A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced after robbing four banks last year- including one in Cranberry Township.
34-year-old Patrick Acierno allegedly robbed the PNC Bank on Route 19 in Cranberry in September of 2018 along with the West View Savings Bank in Wexford, the WesBanco Bank in Monaca, and the KeyBank in Ingomar.
Acierno will serve 57 months in prison followed by 36 months supervised release.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh said the total amount stolen was more than $26,000 and Acierno is required to repay that money. The Cranberry Police Department assisted in the investigation into these robberies.
