The driver of a fatal crash in Connoquenessing Township was sentenced yesterday morning.
The incident happened last July on the 100 block of Harmony Road when 58-year-old Robert Pflugh of Butler was driving under the influence. He went off the road and hit 65-year-old Donald Phipps, who was in his driveway. Phipps died as a result of that crash.
Pflugh pled guilty to homicide by vehicle earlier this year and was sentenced to 60 to 120 months in prison. He will also have to complete 140 hours of community service and have to pay $3,696 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
