A local man sustained serious injuries as a result of a crash in Butler Township last week.
According to Butler Township Police, 44-year-old John Tirk of Butler was driving on Woodlawn Road shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle.
Tirk hit a utility pole and needed to be flown by Life Flight to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Woodlawn Road needed to be closed for a short time while crews worked to clear the scene. Tirk could be charged depending on the results of the ongoing police investigation.
