One person was taken to a Pittsburgh trauma center after an accident Wednesday morning on Route 8.
It happened just after 10 a.m. in the southbound lane at the bottom of Armco Hill. Witnesses say it was a tanker truck that appeared to go off the road.
Dispatchers say the driver was seriously injured in the crash, suffering head, neck, and chest injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Traffic was significantly delayed in both directions.
