A local museum is offering a special class this weekend.
The Maridon Museum on North McKean Street in Butler City will hold a Japanese flower art class from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Those attending will also be learn about Kebana or the “way of flowers” which can be traced back to the sixth century when Buddhism was introduced to Japan. The Ikebana International Pittsburgh Chapter will lead this introductory class on classical arrangements of natural materials.
Tickets are $75 per person which includes materials. Reservations are required since seating is limited. Call 724-282-0123 to RSVP or for more information.
