A group of students in JROTC from Mars and Pine Richland is looking for more students who might be interested in joining.
Members of the U.S. Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp, or JROTC, are in grades 9 through 12 and study culture, management, and science while also participating in a variety of extracurricular activities like drill competitions, volleyball, rocketry, and color guard.
This program is meant to educate and train students in citizenship, promote community service, and teach personal responsibility, character, and self-discipline.
JROTC does not recruit for the U.S. Military services and cadets are never under any obligation to join the military.
