As many look back at a fascinating eclipse, a local school district is asking for donations of the eyewear used for viewing.
Mars Area School District will hold an eclipse glasses collection from tomorrow (Wednesday) through a week from Friday (4/19).
District officials say that the glasses will be sent to a qualified organization that will redistribute them to children in Latin America before the Annular Eclipse this October.
The glasses can be dropped off at elementary school buildings or the Administration office during school hours.
