The Mars Area School district is seeking help from parents to serve on an advisory committee.
In hopes of identifying systemic issues and delivering evidence-based education, Mars will be starting Special Education and Gifted Education Parent Advisory committees.
These new committees are seeking parents interested in participating to serve as members.
Members will take part in quarterly meetings, organizing trainings, and provide input to the school district.
Applications for either committee are available on the district website and are due no later than September 12. The district is seeking at least two parents from each school in the district.
