The Mars Area School Board has hired a consultant to help with the search for their next superintendent.
Several written proposals were considered by the board but Templeton Advantage based out of Newport, PA was approved by a vote of 5-2 during Tuesday’s special school board meeting.
Templeton has run searches for local districts in the past, including most recently, Butler. Templeton’s fee to perform this service for Mars is not to exceed $16,900.
Templeton is expected to begin work immediately and schedule meetings with the board, faculty, and staff as well as the community to gather information.
The board hopes to have their candidate in place and ready to start when the new school year begins July 1st.
