The Mars boys and girls soccer teams have both clinched State Titles this year.
The boys team completed a perfect 21-0 season to win their first state championship by beating Northern York 2-1 . Forward Dane Beller scored both goals in the game for Mars.
The Mars girls completed a perfect season as well with a 2-0 victory over Villa Joseph Marie. Samantha King and Gracie Dunaway scored the goals for Mars. They finish the season with a 19-0 record and have now won 37 consecutive games. They also did not give up a post-season goal and tallied their ninth consecutive shutout.
The Planets became the first WPIAL school to win the boys and girls state titles in the same year.
