The Mars Area School Board is continuing the process of re-bidding their Elementary Expansion project.
At their meeting Tuesday night, the Board heard from their project manager about a revised timeline for the project.
After bids received in May came in around $4 million over estimate, project specifications have been revised in hopes of receiving more affordable prices. An additional update is expected next month from designers before the work is put out to bid in September. Contracts could be awarded at the end of that month.
Under that scenario, construction on the Elementary Additions and Alterations project would begin in October and continue through the end of 2026.
