The Mars School District has formally adopted a plan to return to classes next year but will make adjustments if necessary.
At the Tuesday night school board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Mark Gross gave details about the mandated Health and Safety plan for the upcoming school year.
The plan will see traditional in-person instruction with the wearing of masks voluntary in school buildings for students and staff. Masks will be required for travel on school buses which has been mandated by federal law for public transportation.
Social distancing will be maintained when feasible and the district will continue coordinating with local health authorities. Live Stream Interaction or distance learning will only be available for students who have been mandated to quarantine by the state.
The plan is posted in its entirety on the district’s website.
