Mars High School is closing for the rest of the week due to the coronavirus.
According to the district’s website, the high school has had five positive tests this week. While that’s less than the state guidelines that requires a closure, district officials decided to preemptively move to remote learning.
The district also said they’ve had staffing issues due to teachers having side effects to the COVID vaccinations.
The school will undergo a deep cleaning, before reopening for in-person instruction next Monday.
