The Mars Area Public Library is still working to reopen after it was damaged during the winter weather earlier this month.
The library has been closed since February 3rd due to ice which caused the roof to leak, along with other damage to the drywall and carpeting.
Costly repairs have been ongoing but volunteers from the community such as Mars Youth Lacrosse have been assisting with tasks like moving a large number of boxes and seasonal decorations. Additionally, many local businesses have been contributing to the recovery effort.
Adams Township has been hosting some library gatherings like story time at their municipal center. Residents are invited to continue to take advantage of curbside pickup.
The Mars library also continues to accept monetary donations through their website.
