Teachers and administrators in the Mars Area School District are getting ready to welcome students back to the classroom through a series of events beginning later this week.
A building visitation for the Mars Area Middle School will take place Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon as well as 7 to 8 p.m. while a 7th grade and new student orientation is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m.
Families of kindergarten students will receive an orientation at the Primary Center and ninth graders will have a chance to visit the high school a week from Wednesday. Other students will be able to visit school facilities a week from Thursday. The first day of classes for Mars students will be Wednesday, August 23rd.
The Mars Area School Board plans to hold their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. tonight.
