Local students are holding a couple of collections this week and asking for help from the community.
Mars Area Primary Center will hold their annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive through Friday. Donations of new, packaged diapers will be stuffed into a school bus parked in front of the Primary Center provided by AJ Myers and Sons bus company. Donations can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours. The diapers will be transported to The Lighthouse Foundation in Middlesex Township.
Also, the Mars Area Centennial School PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) Student Ambassadors are holding a Pie in the Face Fundraiser this week. Fifth and sixth graders will place bills and coins into jars marked with the names of teachers who have volunteered to participate. The five teachers who receive the most donations will be pied during an upcoming assembly. Proceeds will benefit the Butler County Humane Society as well as contribute to the purchase of new playground equipment.
