Students in the Mars Area School District recently had the chance to decorate an administrator following a fundraiser for charity.
Mars Area Primary Center Principal Jessica Semler issued a challenge for the chance to douse the principal with silly string as part of the American Heart Association fundraiser earlier this year.
Students raised over $15,000 with Christine Duff’s AM kindergarten class and Maria Rios’ first grade class registering the most number of participants for the Kids Heart Challenge. First-grader Cole Caruso received a medal for raising over $1,400.
Those two classes coated Semler with silly string last Friday at the Mars Primary Center playground.
