A recent event to raise money to benefit a Mars Area School District employee has been able to successfully offer assistance.
The Mars Area High School College within the High School Entrepreneurship class held a “Let a Pie Fly” fundraiser for a district employee diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig ’s disease.
Over $800 was raised through March when students purchased tickets for a chance to throw a pie in the face of their favorite teacher.
The winning students were drawn at random during a Pep Rally last week.
