The Mars Area School District is taking the next step in the process of a school construction project.
At their meeting earlier this week, board members chose Draw Collective to provide architectural and engineering services on the Mars Area Elementary School Renovation Project.
Three architecture firms responded to a request for proposal issued by the district and the candidates were interviewed by the board and administration. One board member said the fact that Draw Collective has a Cranberry office helped to set them apart from the others.
The Superintendent and District Solicitor will now begin negotiations on pricing and fees. After that contract is in place, the board will begin considering options to finance the project through issuing bonds.
