The law firm of Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter, and Graham will continue their working relationship with the Mars Area School District for the upcoming fiscal year.
Earlier this week, the Mars Board of School Directors considered a motion that would have renewed the appointment of the firm as the district’s solicitor with an increase of $5 per hour to a total of $195.
The board unanimously approved a desire to continue a professional relationship with Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter, and Graham but they did not approve the increase in pay due to several members expressing concerns about the money being needed elsewhere.
A source with the lawfirm told our newsroom that the firm is “happy and thrilled” to continue working with the Mars Area School District at the current rate of $190 per hour for the year beginning July 1st.
