Local students are holding a couple of collections and asking for help from the community.
Mars Area Primary Center will hold their annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive through Friday. Donations of new, packaged diapers will be stuffed into a school bus parked in front of the Primary Center provided by AJ Myers and Sons bus company. Donations can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours. The diapers will be transported to The Lighthouse Foundation in Middlesex Township.
Also, the Mars Area High School English Festival Club Book Drive is continuing through a week from today. Donations of new or gently used books may be dropped off during school hours in any of the Mars Area School main offices. The books will be sold during a student art show later this month with proceeds benefiting the district’s school libraries. All remaining books will be donated to the Mars Area Public Library.
