Students at Mars Area Primary Center collected over 5,400 diapers as part of the school’s ‘Stuff the Bus’ diaper drive to benefit local families.
Diapers were collected and stuffed into a school bus last week. They were then taken to the Lighthouse Foundation food bank in Middlesex Township, where they will be distributed to residents in need.
The foundation is a Christian outreach organization serving impoverished individuals and families in northern Allegheny and Butler counties. AJ Myers and Sons bus company also helped with this effort.
This annual collection is held in conjunction with National Week of the Young Child.
