Some local students are asking for help from the community through an ongoing collection.
The Mars Area Centennial School is collecting a variety of items for upcoming STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) projects.
Cardboard tubes, pre-cut cardboard squares, straws, toothpicks, foam pieces, tiny car track, small toy vehicles, fast food kids meal toys, LEGO bricks, PUPLO blocks, magnetic tiles, old electronic gaming systems, pogs, and board games can be dropped off at the school’s main office during school hours.
The materials will support hands-on learning through maker projects, engineering and design challenges, and stop-motion animation activities.
