Students in the Mars Area School District are donating thousands of dollars to the American Heart Association following an annual fundraiser.
The elementary schools collectively raised nearly $34,000 through the Kids Heart and American Heart Challenges.
In addition to collecting donations, the students also learned about heart health and participated in activities during their physical education classes to promote healthy hearts.
