Students and staff at a local school district are remembering the victims of 9/11 with a special activity.
At Mars Area High School, students and staff members will plant 2,977 American flags along Route 228 in front of the high school as part of the “9/11: Never Forget Project”.
This represents one for each person who died in the September 11th attacks. The Pine-Richland/Mars Area U.S. Air Force JROTC will lead this effort beginning around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The flags will be on display through Saturday, September 11th.
