Governor Tom Wolf has reinstated a mask requirement for state employees and contracted workers.
Wolf said he made the change following a surge in COVID cases.
However, masks are still optional for people visiting state office buildings.
The mask mandate for state employees originally ended in late June. Wolf also is requiring the vaccine or weekly testing for employees in state-run health care facilities.
