Karns City quarterback Mason Martin has returned to UPMC Mercy and is soon expected to begin rehabilitation.
According to his father Denny, Mason has been more awake and alert since receiving his new shunt last week. He also feels that Mason is in better condition for rehab compared to three weeks ago.
Denny also took time to thank the staff at UPMC Presby, where Mason has spent most of his time since collapsing on the field in September.
He said in a social media post that Presby “has been my home for the last three months and everyone there has felt like family…I have felt so much love throughout the entire hospital.”
