A local state park will be hosting an event later this week to educate the public on how to make fire without a match.
On Thursday, the park naturalist at McConnells Mill will show visitors how to start a fire by using the flint and steel method as well as the Bow and Drill method.
Thursday’s event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Kildoo Pavilion, and will conclude around 7:30pm.
