Anyone interested in learning more about local nature while getting exercise can stop by McConnells Mill for an activity later this week.
On Friday participants will meet at the Point Parking Lot at 1 p.m. and travel to Alpha Falls, Kildoo Falls, and Breakneck Falls.
During the three mile challenging hike until 3 p.m., visitors will hear from the park naturalists about how the falls are connected to the Slippery Rock Creek and affect the historic gristmill.
Those interested in participating are asked to register on the DCNR Calendar of Events webpage as well as wear sturdy footwear, dress for the outdoors, and bring drinking water.
