The tight race in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate is getting closer, and one candidate is now filing a suit in order to count some mail-in ballots.
Dave McCormick’s campaign filed the suit yesterday, arguing that counties should count ballots that did not have a handwritten date on the outside envelope. The campaign contends that after a ruling by a federal appellate court, these ballots should be counted.
It’s not clear how many ballots don’t have a date written on the outside. Currently, Dr. Mehmet Oz leads McCormick by less than 1,000 votes.
