At least one person was seriously injured in a vehicle crash that occurred earlier this weekend in Jefferson Township.
Calls came into the Butler County 911 Center around 7:30am Saturday for a crash at the intersection of Freeport Road and Great Belt Road. Officials say that one person was trapped in a vehicle. A medical helicopter was also called to the scene.
Saxonburg EMS and Middlesex EMS were among the crews on scene. Traffic was also shut down in both directions while authorities cleared the scene.
