A member of the state Senate is encouraging the system of higher education to put a pause on integrating six universities.
Senator Jim Brewer of Allegheny County wants a two-year pause on the plan that would see Clarion, California, and Edinboro integrate their schools together.
Brewer says he has concerns about class location for students, how athletics would work, and potential fundraising concerns.
The vote on integrating the schools is still set for next month.
