A Michigan man has pled guilty in Butler County after it’s alleged he attempted to sell drugs in Butler City.
In July of last year, the Butler County Drug Task Force arrested and charged two people, 52-year-old Shawn Montgomery of Butler and 35-year-old Deontae Thompson of Highland Park Michigan, while serving a warrant on the 500 block of East Perl Street.
Police found 20 grams of crack and $800 in cash, along with drug packaging materials and drug paraphernalia in the home.
On Thursday, Thompson pled guilty and was sentenced to 16 to 32 months in prison, 25 hours of community service, and had to pay over $2,000 in fines and court fees. Thompson also received 191 days’ time severed as he awaited a trial.
Montgomery is currently out on bail awaiting his trail.
