Senator Bob Casey announced new grants to make drinking water and wastewater safer for residents in the Commonwealth.
$78 million will be used to improve water infrastructure in Pennsylvania and a large portion of that will be used in neighboring Armstrong County.
The Ford City Borough received nearly $12 million in grants and another $7 million in loans for two projects, Lead Pipe Removal and Lead/Galvanized Steel Pipe Removal.
The funding comes from the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act.
