A developer continues to pursue construction of two minor housing developments in Butler Township.
After first speaking with the Butler Township Planning Commission in July, Ed Thaner returned Tuesday night to discuss a Summer Lake development that he is proposing along Saxonburg Road near the intersection with Bullcreek Road. This would include the sectioning off of three smaller parcels from a remaining large property that used to be a farm but Zoning Officer Jesse Hines advised tabling the proposal based on township rules about required stormwater plans.
The Summer Wind development would consist of three lots of approximately an acre each along Old Plank Road just south of Vogel Road. The land proposed for this development has an unresolved concern about the number and placement of allowed driveway access points.
The Commission tabled both of these proposals and recommended additional discussions between the developer and Township employees to address the outstanding issues.
