MLB Divisional Playoffs:
–The San Diego Padres defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 last night to avoid a sweep in their best-of-five series. Jake Cronenworth hit a tie-breaking home run in the fifth inning to give San Diego a lead they did not relinquish. Right-hander Michael King pitched two scoreless innings to close the game, after being the starting pitcher and going five innings in Game 2 on Sunday. The Padres were without closer Mason Miller, who was placed on paternity leave prior to the game. Game 4 is tonight in San Diego at 10pm.
–The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-1 to win Game 3 of their series. Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed one run over seven innings while striking out 10 Atlanta batters. Freddie Freeman and Enrique Hernandez homered for the Dodgers. Game 4 is tonight in Atlanta at 6pm.
Both National League games will be televised on FS1.
The American League Divisional Series resumes today.
–The Chicago White Sox host the Cleveland Guardians at 4pm.
–The New York Yankees host the Tampa Bay Rays at 8pm.
Both Chicago and Tampa Bay can move on to the American League Championship Series with a victory.
Both A.L. games will be televised on TBS and truTv.
