There were 104 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death for Butler County Monday.
This comes after 385 new cases since New Year’s Eve, along with nine additional deaths.
That brings the county’s death toll to 204 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There continues to be a slight decrease of hospitalizations in the state, with now 5,630 patients being treated for COVID-19. That’s down nearly 400 since two weeks ago.
Butler Health System
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 59 patients for the coronavirus, with 11 COVID patients in the ICU. BMH also says they’ve reported 14 deaths to the Department of Health over the last five days. The numbers of deaths per day are as follows:
2 deaths on 12/30/20
5 deaths on 12/31/20
2 deaths on 1/1/21
1 death on 1/2/21
4 deaths on 1/3/21
This data comes from today’s (1/4/21) update from the Butler Health System. The last update, due to the holiday, was last Wednesday (12/30/20). With the latest information, that increases the number of deaths in December for Butler Memorial Hospital. The hospital saw 44 deaths in December alone, the most since the pandemic began.
