Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Butler County on Monday by the state Department of Health.
That brings the total case count since the beginning of the pandemic to 429. The number of people with a Butler County residence who have died as a result of COVID-19 is holding at 13.
According to the latest Butler Health System update as of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating six patients for coronavirus-related symptoms with one person in the ICU. BHS is also reporting a significant increase in outpatient testing across the region with results expected in the next one to two weeks.
There were 328 new cases reported statewide, with the total closing in on 96,000. The state is estimated that 77 percent of those cases have recovered.
There have been a total of 835,732 negative tests so far in Pennsylvania.
