The Moniteau School District is on alert today after receiving a threat last night.
According to an email sent to parents, the district became aware of a threat made on social media around 9:30 p.m.
Officials say the threat was vague, but “the intent was extremely concerning.”
The threat was immediately reported to school officials and then state police. The threat was investigated by state police. This morning, Superintendent Aubrie Schnelle said after consulting with state and school police, along with administrative staff, there is no change to the school day’s schedule.
School officials say if any student, parent, or community member sees a threat, it should immediately be reported to the school or police.
