A local business is supporting food pantries in our area through a month-long food collection.
Armstrong is sponsoring the 2nd annual Avenge Hunger Month food drive as part of their ongoing Breaking Bread initiative.
As part of National Hunger Action Month, Armstrong will be collecting food donations at their office on South Benbrook Road in Butler weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through September 26th. A special Avenge Hunger Community Day is planned for September 18th.
In addition, Armstrong employees will volunteer at local food pantries such as the Butler County Food Bank to help with the mission of providing food to neighbors in need. Last year almost 50,000 pounds of food was collected and this year’s goal is 60,000 pounds.
