It’s a great weekend to enjoy the great outdoors at Moraine State Park.
A “Heron and Kingfisher Paddle” will take place Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McDanels Launch Area.
Park staff will share more about these beautiful birds in this area and lead a nature-based exploration of the tributaries of Lake Arthur which could include sightings of wildlife.
This event is for ages 12 and older with those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. Participants can bring their own kayaks. A limited number of kayaks are available. Life jackets are required. Call the park office to reserve a spot or for more information.
