After being closed since the beginning of the pandemic, the theater at Moraine Point Plaza is now ready to open under new management.
Movie Scoop tells us that a soft opening of the theater will be Friday beginning with matinee shows at 11 a.m.
The local independent chain picked up the lease to the Moraine Point theater just last month, and is now ready for crowds to come in.
They are featuring a full slate of movies including Black Widow, F9, Baby Boss, and will be showing a summertime classic with Jurassic Park. The price for Jurassic Park will only be $5 according to officials.
Movie Scoop leaders say they are very excited for the opening and to be bringing movies back to Butler Township.
“We are so very happy to open our doors this summer,” Director of Marketing Liz Harper said. “Just in time for the blockbuster Black Widow too.”
The concession stand will be open as well, with items like pretzels, nachos, popcorn and more. Harper says that all items will be $5 this weekend.
Harper also said that the theater will be accepting gift cards from the former Regal Cinemas for the next four months.
“If a guest would like to use a Regal card, just ask for the manager to purchase tickets and concessions based on the value of the card,” Harper said in an email. She added they were happy to take the gift cards as a courtesy to the community.
